If the Hang Seng has risen, why have home prices not followed? How long did that pass-through take?
This page is not investment advice.
The question puts two things together: when the Hang Seng Index rises, why home prices do not move at the same time, and how long that pass-through took before.
This page has no Hang Seng series. Without those readings it cannot say how far the index rose, or whether home prices followed.
The only home-price series here is the Centaline index below, and the gaps between the four regions and the overall reading. A gap is not the Hang Seng, and it is not a number of weeks.
How long past pass-throughs took is not on this page. That figure is not on this page yet.
The only home-price series on this page is the CCL reading below, and the gaps between the four regions and overall CCL.
Centaline's public page Fetched on 2026-10-03. That page says the latest release is 2026-10-02, covering 2026-09-21 to 2026-09-27.
Latest CCL 160.1
The public page says the index for the first week of July 1997 is 100. In the series read this time, the reading on 1997-07-06 is 100.
The four region readings and the overall CCL were read from the same public page. The gap is those two readings subtracted. Centaline did not publish it as a separate figure.
