Where are regulated first-hand deals recorded?
Regulated first-hand residential deals are entered in the sales record on the Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Electronic Platform, which is free to read. The vendor must enter a provisional agreement within 24 hours and a formal agreement within one working day. The authority is the Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Authority.
What does the Land Registry monthly count show?
The Land Registry publishes monthly statistics of instruments lodged for registration, and the past years. The registration month is not the signing month. Time usually passes between signing and lodgement. The agreement column and the assignment column must not be added together.
The Land Registry page of latest monthly statistics currently publishes August 2026. In the table of agreements for sale and purchase of building units, the number of agreements for residential building units is 4,019. The same page says residential figures exclude sales under the Home Ownership Scheme, the Private Sector Participation Scheme, and the Tenants Purchase Scheme unless the resale restriction has expired and the premium has been paid.
