Rent and mortgage calculator
You type the price and the monthly rent. Gross yield is monthly rent times 12, divided by price. The payment is split into first-month interest and first-month principal. This page does not give a score.
This is not investment advice and not a valuation.
This page does not score the result, and it does not call the gross yield high or low.
A blank loan share, rate, or term uses the example already written on the mortgage page: 90 percent, 3.25 percent a year, 30 years. That is not a bank’s current rate. A figure you type is used instead of the example.
The monthly rate is the nominal annual rate divided by 12. The number of payments is the term in years times 12. At a zero rate, the payment is the loan divided by the number of months. Amounts are shown in Hong Kong dollars, rounded to the nearest dollar. The figure leaves out stamp duty, insurance, management fees, and any cash rebate.
